Sagging Bags ..Temp Change Question
Came out this morning an the driver side was down slightly on my 2009 H2 SUV Lux. Yesterday was warm and over night it got cold. Here's my question. With the 2 parked and off when the temp drops low I would assume the Air in the bag pressure would also drop like your tires do in cold weather.
Now my question. Did Gm design the Air ride to respond to a change in height with the engine off in park overnight? If the *** end settled below the ride height sensors shouldn't the compressor come on to lift it back?
I would think not. So how would they deal with this problem of a sagging bag due to temp changes with the 2 completely off? This goes back to my other posts about finding it all the way down a few weeks ago,. It always pumps back up when I start it. It can go two weeks with no sag and then the temp changes and one side or both will sag.
Don't think the bags are leaking as it will be fine for a few weeks. I don't drive it every day. Maybe 3 to 4 times a week. It's got me curious how they cam up with this design taking in cold weather? .....Any clues?

Yeh I'm thinking it's at the compressor end. After filling the bags some valve in the compressor has to stop the air. Could be leaking form change of temp. Also maybe the linesetaing as you say. I'll have it checked when the 2 goes in for the rip apart to find the leak and headliner cleaning.

On my 06 SUT one bag is new and other bag has small leak. It was a crazy change in temp like 30 to 80 back to 30 and bags got drained. Maybe it?s leak in the system somewhere idk. But that happens to me as well
Also whats funny is that last sommer, The passenger side power mirror would not tilt down in reverse. As soon as it got cold outside in Sept it started to work again. It's been working ever since. Now when the temp goes up..???? Who knows.
Yeah I hear yah. It's find now for the last few days. The Temps are up around 60*. Like I said..I have to take the 2 in for the hunt for the leak in a few weeks. I'll have them do some soapy water test on the areas.

I uploaded a vid on my channel regarding the air lines. If that would help. Right now I think since the one bag leaks it gets air sucked out then causes out bag to just deflate because of the weight. I’m working on restoration of SUT bed so I’m happy with it being deflated for now lol. I do turn on my heated mirror button as a preventative maintenance on mirrors. Gl with eveything
