Hey folks... the tire carrier on my H2 is all rotted out and I think will fall off any day now. So I want to remove it. I have a 2005 and it has the newer style with the clasp on the left and the d rings are built into the carrier. My clasp side is fine... it’s the arm that is rotted out. Can I unbolt the arm from the hinge? I plan on looking later today. I don’t have stand alone d rings to replace it with. And I may see if I can locate just the arm or depending on how bad it is. I may see if I can have some new steel welded in.
No ideas but there is a local guy around where I live that has been advertising parts for one on Craigslist for like a year now. Looks like he is missing some bits. Maybe has what you need? They might not be willing to ship or anything though....
MIxManSC, that would have been awesome... But I noticed he is selling the older version... Seems like most people just take them off... but I would like to fix mine if I am able. Check out this pic to se the kind I am looking for... If possible I really just need the arm/tire mount.
