Default Rock Sliders

Question for anyone that can provide me some info. The rock sliders on my 2006 H2 are starting to rust away. I had taken them off at one point and cleaned them up and repainted them but that only got me another 2 years. I see where some H2's don't have rock sliders on them so I was thinking of removing mine. My question is my chrome nerf bars mount to my rock sliders which then mount to the frame. Are there other nerf bars available that mount directly to the frame if the sliders are removed? Thanks in advance for any responses.

These look cool and bolt to the frame and replace the rock sliders:

Good luck!

oddly enough the instructions do not mention removal of anything existing. might want to call them to clarify that.

I do not recommend mounting to the rockers on 15+yr old vehicle, especially in the salt belt.

I'd suggest reading some reviews on the N-Fab ones too....
Amazon Amazon

Not terribly glowing. They do look good though and prior to me getting a set of factory U steps was still an option I was strongly considering. I had also read somewhere, might even have been on here, that the steps on the N-fab ones are also not in a terribly good spot, like too far forward.
