Default Resistors for brake light bulbs

I installed some LED bulbs and for my brake lights and now the cruise Mo longer works. I’m going to install resistors which should fix my cruise issue. If anyone has done this before, could you tell me which wires I need to tap into with my resistors? There’s a red, blue and green/black (I assume this is the ground and one of the wires that need to tap into) but is the other wire the red or blue? TIA

I had some issues with my Cruise control on hy 2009 H2. What kicks off the cruise when it is on is the brake pedal. Also it fires off your brake lights. The switch is very sensitive and the slightest touch on the pedal will kick off the cruise. My pedal was sticking or not fully by MM's not returning to the full upright position.

Of course I think that any high current drain can also kick of the cruise. Not sure of that but it did happen a few times. Anyway...one of our resident experts here will chime in and try to help out.

As a shot, I would make sure your pedal returns fully to the top to eliminate this as a cause.

Using LED bulbs in the taillights of a H2 cause all kinds of weird cruise control issues. With that said, if you run them LED resistors will be required and are usually about 10 ohms at 25 watts. There are a number of retailers that sell them. You should consider one that are mounted in an aluminum case in a heat sync style that physically attach to the rear metalwork of the bed. These should be screwed in place and not held there with 2 sided tape.

These things can get hot so make sure they are clear of other wires, plastic parts and whatnot's.

Huh. I would have never thought that would make cruise not work. Darn computers.
