Default Rear main seal and oil pan dealer quote . Need help to decide

I just took the beast to the dealer due to the oil leak .
It took only 3 hours for them to call me back . quote for 2400(13hr) replacing the seal , oil pan and pressure switch
They said all 3 are leaking
It sound weird to.me that in 3 hr they know exactly what was the issue
The mechanic told me that to replace the oil pan he needs to remove the front differential . And it was quoted for 1000 . Im not sure thats necessary

Should do all 3 now even if the problem is only the seal . Is the oil pan a DIY
Are 13 hr labor (2400) right

They are a very reputable dealer in the area but I want to be sure price vs labor is fair .

Thx

Yes the front diff needs to be removed to get oil pan off and the transmission has to come out to do rear main seal. I looked up flat rate times and it comes to 13.1 hours. So I would say the quote is accurate but cant say if diagnosis is accurate.

Just remembered they going to replace also the crankshaft sensor
Looked online and yes the differential needs to be removed . Plus lot of stuff.
Still looks a little expensive @2400

TX humtech ..
If I remember $165x hr
I guess even if it is not leaking now it will leak very soon . With 100k plus miles . The oil prn and other stuff will be the next trouble

Looks like everything will be done . At least will have the warranty that nothing could leak in the next few years

Still hurts but not much I can do ... This could be a DIY but time consuming and doing the job flat wont be easy .

I would be at almost 1800 in labor at our dealer then add parts, taxes, shop supplies. Quote is about right maybe even a little light. Mind you im in Canada so prob only 100 bucks US lol

165 an hour, ouch. Id shop around. Our high tech rate is 15 less than that and doing general work is not a high tech job. We are around 135 or 140 I think and high tech is about 155 -160. Different part of the world though

Guess will have to work harder this week to pay the job lol
Could be a little higher cause this is the best dealer in my area . They also get you for free a new rental Suv Cadillac if the job is delayed
not many trusted dealers in the area . In fact I won't trust any other than these people
Will keep it post how everything came out

worth the money all day if they are your trusted dealer for sure. Im a firm believer in get what you pay for. Not to mention they didn't overquote on the hours so there is something right there on the honesty. In fact they under quoted by 0.1 lol.
