Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default Rear bag inflator switch not working.

Have a new to me 05 Hummer H2. Bags were inflated a week ago when I bought the truck. It sat and now both bags are flat. Know this mostly because it bounces to the point of going off the road. So saw a switch in the back to inflate them after reading on here. Truck was running all doors shut, but switch doesn’t light up when hit. No sound of compressors going. No change at all. Looked at the back of the switch everything is connected. Read a few people with the same issue but one difference is mine has no warning lights of any kind appear. Hopefully this is enough info for someone to help build a plan to fix this thing. Thank you

Switch in the back is to inflate tires/toys. Doesn't inflate the airbags. The switch for the suspension airbags is at the dash below the transfer case switches. Sounds like you have a blown fuse or the control relay is bad. Other possibilities are bad wiring/connector at the compressor unit.

Unless the AS system has been modified ie no longer stock, the switch at the back is only the tire inflator and will not fill the bags and should operate with the doors open and the engine running.

If the AS Unit is stock and you have no MIL or "SERVICE AIR SUSPENSION" message the AS system may be disconnected, or non functional, check the 16 Way chassis IP connector to the AS Unit underneath LHS near the rear wheel.

Note once the battery has been reconnected without the AS Unit connected all AS operations are mapped out, again check the 16way is connected then disconnect and reconnect the battery, you may then get MIL and message, if so use a Tech2 to retrieve the DTC.

Keep us posted 🤞

Yep, best plan I can think of until we get further feedback from OP. Provide him a map and directions. Appears he has a leaky system, he wasnt seeing an error msg and unit didnt try to re-inflate when he started, so def a power/connectivity issue.

Checked the fuses both are good. Crawled under to look a connection issue. Found this. Unsure if it’s related but stopped and figured I would ask. Was about to order a relay just to eliminate that and was easy to find.

Honestly if it keeps no lights on the dash I’m ok with just manually filling it for a bit if there is a way. And I’ll just go springs after the holidays. Maybe blow air into the line with the broken clamp?

Sorry to keep messaging on here. So followed the lines on the tee . Sides go to each bag and the center runs up to the rear maybe the valve stem. Not sure if that’s a factor thing or not. But seems like I can just air up that valve stem in back to fill the bags. Will test
tomorrow at work. If not will need some help maybe on what Schrader valve and size lines to buy to create my own manual fill up option

@My05HummerH2
From your pictures, the taped-up connectors may be the ones that connect to the AS Unit, incidentally these need to be completely waterproofed otherwise you'll get issues with the Class2 Serial bus etc
The valve stem looks to be non-stock, at least I've never seen anything like it before.

Perhaps your H2 AS Unit has been removed?
It should be located on the underside in front of the rear bumper looking like the ones below:-

If this is not present that would explain everything.

You may have a bit of work to do and no doubt more questions/comments.
