I have owned a H2 for 15 years and now is parked for 5 years because I used it to travel in North Africa and Sahara desert
but due to terrorism now those countries are dangerous and off limits.
Since in this period in Italy many environmental disasters happen ,earthquakes, floods, landslides, etc.
I have decided to use the H2 (300hp of power) for emergency aid purposes (power generator, dewatering, fire pumps, snow turbine etc.)
To run these groups I need the PTO in H2 ........ this is my need/project !

Thanks Stefano

As far as I'm aware the BW4484 transfer case has no provision for a PTO port. You would need to do some major work to fit some other transfer case with a PTO port or some other modification like a custom bracket and pulley (then use a longer belt) to fabricate some sort of accessory belt driven setup as well as adding an engine idle controller to raise the idle speed when the accessory drive is being used.

Major undertaking, but if you did a duramax swap with the allison transmission you could get a PTO.

The allison would have to come from a 3500 series truck, as the 2500 series does not come with the PTO take off.

The duramax would also be better suited for the idling while running the PTO as you can also have an increased idle for just such a thing.

Please can you give me more details or links about this application suitable for Hummer H2 / 2003. (Duramax with PTO)
Thanks so much Stefano
