Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default Which power programmer should I use?

I am new to this forum. I have owned my '06' H2 for a year now. I want to put a power programmer tune on it and want advice! I think I have It narrowed down to either Hypertech or Powerchips! Any advice on those or others? Which one fits the H2 the best? I am looking for horsepower increase as well as fuel mileage increase. I appreciate your help!

Thanx, Eddie

Don't you have to run premium fuel with the power programmers? I would think the higher cost of fuel would actually cost you more than getting a little better mileage.

I would settle for better mileage. My H2 has enough power for me.

find a place that does EFI Live. they now have a tuner box out on the market! i absolutely love the one in my '04 H2! i am runnning a decent perfomance tune off of 87 octane, i have a tune for premium fuel only but it is specifically made for when i start beefing up the internals. the controller holds up to 5 tunes for up to 2 vehicles. i have an economy tune but have not used it yet, along with a couple of others. but in my experiences, if you dont want to go through the whole dyno tuning thing. superchips and diablo are a couple i have had pretty good luck with on other vehicles. hypertech is nice but had a couple of problems with it towards the end of that cars run.

Hypertech do you have something that can improve my mileage? I also have an 06 H2 all stock except a Borla cat back system. Thanks,
Phil
