2003 hummer h2 with 250,000 km. sorry i am not very mechanically inclined but over the past few months basically my whole front end is new including shocks, tie rods, ball joints, control arms, wheel bearings etc. i recently for the past few weeks started noticing kinda like a clunking noise or like some type of movement in the front end of the truck when i am going over a bumpy road. it seems to happen the most when the bump is causing the truck to wiggle side to side. for example when i am turning into a parking lot that is on an incline i feel a clunk and a type of shake in the front end of the truck as if something heavy is looose. idk its really hard to explain and i am sorry that i suck at describing. for example when i go over a speed bump i dont feel that type of movement, i feel it more as if i go over a bump where one tire hits the bump and the other tire stays flat on the road.

does this sound like a motor mount broken to you? how can i test if it is?

sounds more like body roll. check the condition of your body mounts. might also want to check your front diff bushings.

 

Did you replace bump stops?
