Plugged in radio fuse now I hear a donging chime

My new 07 H2 it sounds like a warning chime like the lights are on but very loud.

I was testing the radio which did come on it’s screen however chiming was so loud I turned key off. Purchased it online like this. Never meet the previous owner or did a test drive.

Maybe this is why the fuse wasn’t there.

This done w/ engine turned off. but door was open, I'm still fighting the dam door handle an the door panel is just hanging so whenever I touch the dam handle the panel flops down, I'm not good dissconnecting w/ GM electrical plugs



What was this loud chime? Thanks for advice.

 

the door / warning chime works through the radio. if it has an aftermarket radio then they should have installed an adapter that also retains the chime. those adapters do go bad. or its working and you need to check your key cylinder and doors. i think the door switches are part of the door lock itself.

 

yes it has a pioneer radio. yes I've installed this adaptor you mention in my express van can't say I've sean this adaptor in the H2 yet it's proably behind the radio.
additionally the door was open an I think the headlights where off.
next time I'll close door an make sure lights are off.
I think I got boned on this H2 lots of little things broken are adding up, after the purchase I find out it was a repossession the ignition key isn't GM I assume the H2 will need a GM ign.cylinder maybe a locksmith made a key.
ontop of that the driver door handle including lock cylinder is missing.
the 2 small TV screens in front seats headrests appear to be dissconnected under the driverside rear seat. haven't traced these wires they mite go to the 3rd flip down TV (I think is a Sony playstation for 3rd row seat).
for right now I'd be satisfied w/ just a radio. thanks bronxteck for advice.

 

today w/ engine on, I closed the door an turned radio on heard one chime then the chime stopped.
took some time an fiddled w/ radio an got the radio to come on sounds excellent like it had a small sub an small amp which I don't see either.so we'r calling this issue resolved. thanks
