performance
I added a question to the existing topic on headers, I kind of asked this question months ago but here goes again.
Ive had many many lifted trucks before , but this is my 1st vehicle to have an LS motor. for years I keep hearing how superior they are to old 350 engines but im so disappointed with performance of this H2 . It runs awesome and I realize weight.full time 4wd etc of the h2 but I own a stock 97 tahoe with 35s only 3,42 gears a 245 hp pre multipoint fuel injected motor, ive owned it since new
with 300,000 miles and it is so much faster its unbelievable. again Im a real good mechanic and I know theres nothing wrong with this LS motor im just dissapointed with its performance in comparison to my tahoe.. the tahoe pulls down 18-20 mpg at 60 with cruise contol on around town its 8mpg just like the H2 was gonna do headers and exhaust and down the road maybe a cam and a tune , h2 only has 95K on it so thinking I can still upgrade it without problems
thanks any thoughts?

The weight of the 2 are very close, both at around 6400 lbs and the performance of the 2 trucks are very close with the Tahoe around 16.7 in the 1/4 mile and the 05 H2 in at 17.0 flat.
The H2 compared to the Tahoe is a tank with the 2500 drive train and will hold up better when pushed.
As for the LS engine series they are for superior to the older designs, block design, sealing, HEADS, just about everything about them.
