No Horn
I have an issue in which the horn will not blow on my 2009 H2 SUT. It doesn't blow when you hit the horn on the steering or when you lock it and set the alarm with the remote. I checked all of the fuses, and they all appear to be good. I have not altered or changed anything on this H2. It is completely stock from the dealer when I bought it new in 2009.
This issue started during a serious rainstorm where I had water dripping from the roof area around the OnStar buttons. It seems the rain must have shorted something and set the alarm off, and I could not get it to shut off. The alarm sounded until it got weak and then just died and my horn has not worked since then. The alarm still appears to set with the remote, as I see the lights flash twice and I see the lock button come on at the dash, but no horn sounds.
Anyone have any suggestions as to where I should look to solve this horn issue?
Also, my apologies for originally posting this to an old thread on the same subject. I am a member of another forum similar to this and they prefer you use original threads if the issue is the same and they do not like it if you create new threads on the old subjects, so I made the mistake of assuming things were the same here. I know better going forward. I've searched through the H2 horn threads but don't see a fix for the problem at this point, so any help would be appreciated.

the onstar unit “Vehicle Communication Interface Module (VCIM)” might be the issue. it lives under the radio. you might have to dry it out or it may have corrosion starting or already set in.
You could try cleaning the internal board and connectors up .
but maybe your horns have a bad ground /connections or are just bad. might have to test them

In your case I would expect you to pull up behind the car not moving on the green light and gently push him with your HUMMER H2 across the street. After about 5 feet ..I think he'd get the idea that the light was green. Just say-en.

What if the other driver is deaf? I simply flash the headlights bright.
