Default New Product: Rubberduck4x4 H2 Brush Guard!

Hey guys some of you may know and some of you may not know that I have been working with Travis at Rubberduck4x4 to produce a Real HD brushguard for the H2.

As of now there is only one other HD Brushguard that bolts to the frame on the market and it is made by Road Armor. The Road Armor is a very nice piece but it also sells in the neighborhood of $4K.

This brushguard will be added to part of Rubberduck4x4's Treehugger line up. It bolts directly to the frame and offers the best protection on the market today. The only other brush guard out there that comes close is the the Real Wheels guard and while it wraps the hood very nicely it folds and the tubing crushes when you put pressure on it. The real wheels BG is mounted to the factory location "hood hinges" which poses much more problems. It costs roughly $2K. The Real Wheels brushguard makes for a nice show piece but thats really about it.

So this new Rubberduck Treehugger brushguard not only wraps the hood the but it's bolted directy to the frame. It is compatible with a factory front bumper, Boulder Accessories Winch Bumper or Warn Winch Bumper.
Keep in mind the factory plastic valance is not installed in this pic. But it is part of the complete setup.

Anyway next step is for Rubberduck to make a jig. Then produce a Treehugger on the jig to make sure the jig is correct. Once that is done Travis will be ready to take orders.

1500-1600 would be my guess. That seems to be where those type BG fall price wise.

It's going to be closer to $1600. In all actuality its a pretty good deal when compaired to other brushguards on the market. If you look at the road armor its roughtly $4000. And quiet frankly its the only other BG on the market that is frame mounted and can take a serious hit without causing damage to the vehicle.

The Real Wheels is a great looking brush guard. Its priced close to $2K. However its not frame mounted. Its mounted to the factory BG location that is on the Hood hinges. In fact I need to post some pictures of what happends then you use an Real Wheels brush guard. Its not pretty at all. While Real Wheels boasts that this is made of high quality stainless steel they dont mention how thin the material is. The real wheels tubular steel crushes like a pop can when you rub it on a 2" diameter sapling. It also folds like a kite. So if you are looking for a show piece the Real Wheels is a nice choice.

The others you see out there like the ram are a nice guard but they offer no fender protection and they once again bolt to the hinging on the truck so you cannot put any real pressure on them.

The Rubberduck Treehugger IMO comes in at a bargain price and will fit any truck with a factory, Boulder Accessories or Warn front bumper. It offers over the hood and fender protection and its made of 3/16 steel. It will have a textured powdercoated finish just like your factory rock rails. However if you want a specific finish other that textured black Travis can have that done for you as well but at a cost.
