Got the intake, heads, and exhaust off. Tomorrow will hopefully pull the pulley and do the cam swap. Then I want to do the oil pan gasket. Ive saved the biggest job for last. :-( After that re assembly will begin.

Going a lot slower than I though it would. Seems like everyday I take off, something comes up that I "have" to do.
Got the cam out. Hopefully tomorrow, new cam and heads will go on.

Tool found to defeat stubborn oil pan bolt on drivers side. The chunk is right in the way of getting anything in there.

And yesterday after working on the truck all day, I went to the beach to listen to some bands.

Welp, reviving this since now that I am semi-retired, Ill be able to get some work done. The trucks been sitting for about 6 months. I moved the truck to my in-laws house so its just around the corner. Given that its sat for so long, I'm going to do a small rebuild. I had wild and crazy idea of going to a 370 or 408, but I think I need to stay realistic. If the machine shop says it need to be bored, then obviously it'll end up a 370. I wanted a 408 so bad for the tq, but I keep reading horror stories of the 4" stroke. Right now I plan to re-ring and re-bearing it. Maybe. Imma do a cost analysis and see if just getting a compete short block would be cheaper/easier. Im not looking for tons of HP, just Tq down low. Ill try to keep the thread updated more.
By saving money on doing a full 408, I am going to do new bumpers, 4L80E swap, and gears.
Possibly, and a big possibly, maybe a lift. Looking at the Bulletproof 6". I plan to tow with thing from time to time, so we will see.
Also, going to add the Rubberduck UCP, and Cognito UCAs. I have the Moog steering stuff on hand so might as well use it instead of spending money twice.
