New Cab Lights? Which do you buy
So maybe seem a few threads I just picked up a 2005 H2 that has been sitting for some time and the cab lights on the roof are leaking. The rubber has just deteriorated. What are you guys using as replacements? I was looking online, but there are so many different types. Wondering if anybody has any experience with a new set?
I just picked a whole set front and back up from the big online book company starting with a “A”.
I ditched the rubber or better yet foam part that came with it but I used a beat of silicone.
They are LED’s and was thinking they will hopefully out last the H2 🤷🏼♂️
They were made in the US as the page mentioned but probably part came from that far away country in the east.

I doubled up the widest grey foam weather stripping I could find at Home Depot and cut a slit in the middle so it stretched around the sealing area.
I’ve tried using silicone in the past but it was nearly impossible to change the bulb. The foam works way better. However the corner bulbs I used silicone around the rubber plug that goes through the roof because that never has to come out.
