Default New 3 months old battery dies again

For the 2 time in a row the battery dies

The first time was acceptable, battery was almost 3 years old but now after
3 month and only 1 day of not starting the truck the battery dies again .

It is short circuit. I tried to charger in low and high amp but the charger keeps disconnecting and only reading 1.5 v

Replacing the battery is not a problem but should I look for any cause that is causing this issue or it is just bad luck and a defective battery

Could any bad wiring or an accessories cause the battery to gets in short in less than a day ?

Thx

Take it to a reputable battery shop and let them load-test it. I did have one a few years ago that failed after about six months due to an internal short. It happens.

When did it start?
Go back & make a list of everything you changed. It's a good place to begin from.

First time it happens was on Jan/2016 . I was out for 10 days when came back batt was death
The autoparts replaced for a new one (autocraft silver)
Now after less than 2 months it happens again but this time took only 1 day
Yesterday it was fine . This afternoon it wont work

The only thing I recently change was the install for a winch wire quick disconnect .
Winch was also disconnected

I dont see how any accessories could drain and short a batt in less than a day
IMO it was a defective batt this time

Will test tomorrow after getting a new one for amp drain

Will do. ..

I like the Duratracks much berger than the khumos I had before . Less noisier
It took some time to get use to the wobbling feeling but after a few miles I got use to liked the way it rides . Much softer . Only down point is they wear kind of fast . I put around 25k miles . I don't expect more than 45k-50 k

Battery was fine . It was fully discharged but accepted charge and hold it .at least for now
Autoparts also test it for drains and nothing showed .
After switching off the amp drain is very minimal

IMO either the alarm is goimg crazy or a cheap air fresher ( those things to give odors) connected to the 12v lighter is cuco . This thing works with a resistance to heat the perfume and it keeps on even when switch os off

I will keep.testing for a few days . Will keep updating

Good to know!

The H2 is heavier than the Toaureg by about 3/4 ton.
But my Touareg had the air suspension which is harder on the tire for even wear.

Hmm it could be the air fresher for sure. If it's always on it is always drawing current which will eventually drain the battery especially if it isn't driven often enough to charge it back up.

Im hoping the same . Also this little cheap china volts sucker use some type of resistance to heat the chemical
For some reason it may gets shorter cause a few time I touched and feels hot . Not to burn but little over warm . Also it got an Led which stay on all the time

My only doubt is if this could be enough discharge a battery overnight
Well .will Keep an eye
