Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
Looking to buy a hummer h2, found a 2003 with 112,000 miles that had one owner. Couple things that I was concerned about. Firstly, the interior the car floor panels had cracks all along them. The next issue that stood out to me were the airbags for the suspension, looked like they were damaged but could have just been cosmetic wear. The car is very old so I am worried some major problems might occur. All in all, I would like your guys thoughts on getting this hummer as I am not knowledgeable in them. Thank you.

If you get a good deal! I have an 08, it's pretty quick and it doesn't have all the same problems as the earlier years. I have no idea what he's asking either.
It's a 20 year old vehicle. Your going to have problems, and probably major problems. H2's have their issues just like every other vehicle. If you aren't mechanically inclined to do your own diagnosing and most of the work, you should probably be cautious of an older vehicle, unless money is not an issue. Just because it has low miles doesn't mean it was properly maintained. All of the neglected maintenance, (if thats the case) could be very expensive from here on out.
Youtube is full of videos of owners covering all of the issues H2's have as well as all of the things that are awesome about these vehicles. The internet is their for your continued education on subjects like these, as well as the search bar function on this forum.
Look at all the parts you may have to buy for it. It just depends on what you're wanting to do. Just a daily driver then it shouldn't be too bad I'd hope. You never really know. Is the frame all rusty or rust free. If the bags leak, then you'll need to replace them. If they've been leaking for a lil while, you may need a compressor soon or right away. It looks like good tires tho.
Looks like my post did not migrate over here from where u originally posted OP, so here it is again.
U r buying a really old vehicle. Where I live, 5 more years and u can put on antique car license plates. Think about that.
Your bags are ready to fail. Interior trim parts are brittle now, and only available as used at wrecker or eBay. Really hard to find in wheat color, as that color was not popular on later years.
They sell polish for the lights, to remove the haze and yellow.
Very minor stuff. Wait till u have to replace the air ride!
Ditto for all other parts. Disappearing fast. U better be a real enthusiast willing to do the work, or pay $$$ to a mechanic.
