Just enough clearance
I installed the ACDelco fleet belts and it was fairly easy. Funny how the AC belts are tagged Gates and made in Mexico so it doesn’t matter which one you get it’s the same. I hooked the power steering cooler up hopefully for the last time and everything lined up.

yup the OEM belts are made by gates. the gates branded one's are a few bucks cheaper then OEM gates.

Picked up my bumpers from paint today and they turned out so amazing and I can’t wait to get it on. I will have to wait for the front until I get my radiator and run my cooler lines. Flushed my block with Evans prep so I’m ready. I will get my rear bumper and rear flairs on this weekend and if I have time I will install my 160 stat.

Those parts look amazing. You've got an incredibly good paint and body shop there in Vegas. I wish we had something half has good here in Austin

it’s funny because I made a few calls and I have a friend that owns a body shop and I went to talk to him and he wasn’t there so I got his guy and he gave me a price that I thought was really high. I had the idea that I would sand a prep and take it to mako or something. I was selling one of my cars and the guy and his buddy came to look at it and we were talking and his friend said that he owns a body shop and I told him that I wanted to get the plastic trim painted and he said you take care of my buddy on your car and I will take care of your trim. I said deal and gave his friend a fair price and he took care of my stuff. We went to lunch today and had a big buffet and I was telling him about my next project and that I wanted him to paint it. He also said that when I get it back together to bring it back and he will have his guy take care of a few touch ups. Really good guy with talented people working for him. I got the rear bumper and drivers rear fender on tonight and I can see the difference it made.

It really looks great! You lucked out. Hold on to that body work guy. He's really good.

thanks!

I’m not happy with gap between the passenger corner and the body. I put the shims back like it was but I didn’t really pay attention to how it was before I tore it apart. I think if I remove the shim from the passenger side it will be right on. I hooked up the lights and plugged the hitch and plate light and everything is back like it was clips and all. I got a few better pictures now that the Suns up.

I like the gap here and I’m trying to match the other side and I think this is how it was after looking at the old weather strips that came off.

I finished mounting the trans cooler and I’m very happy with it. Only Hummer people would know it doesn’t belong there. I gave it a coat of ceramic black engine paint and watched it disappear. I figured out my fittings for my trans cooler and I will use Earls 3/8 compression to -6 an then some braided hose and a 90 degree into the cooler. I’m not going to bypass the radiator at this point but if I bypass it in the future I will have a easy connection to do so. I assembled the front bumper and it’s ready to go once I get my radiator installed.

Simple plate = Big difference

With plate
I removed the end caps on the front bumper because I was not happy with the fit and how the plastic wasn’t supported and you could see daylight thru it on the corners. I used some 16ga cold rolled steel I had bought for the power steering cooler relocation and fabed a couple of plates for a little xtra support.
