I need a key for mine but can't seem to find a number on it to tell me which key. Can anyone help?

 

The numbers are located next to where the keys are inserted. Should be one letter and a 3 digit number like E001, E002, E003, E004, etc.

 

Does anyone have an E005 key they can make me a couple copies of? I will pay for them

Posted in the other key thread but will try here too: Just bought a "new" H3, no bar keys, need to move bars and mount box to take daughter to school in a cpl weeks. Sp5 key/lock. Would be VERY grateful if someone could help with a copy, loan of key to copy, an old/extra key, anything!

Are they factory bars/rack? Says Hummer on plastic cover? (the knockoffs use totally different locksets/keys)

If so, even if you had the wrong key it should slide in, just wouldn't turn.

If you are confident on the key being the right match for the lock/bar I would soak it in WD40 and let it eat the dirt/salt/grime for a couple days. You've gotta use the straw to get it IN the lock and help blow crud loose. Dont use graphite and wd40, it just makes a sludge. It should eventually free up the lock. Once open/off, clean out the lock with brake cleaner to get rid of all the wd40, dry it out and then use powder graphite to keep it working well.
Worked for me a couple times...

If it doesnt work an alternative more aggressive method - you can use brake cleaner instead of wd40 to clean it out but you have to protect your paint etc REALLY well. Had to go this route on a Thule lockset once.

Anyone have a e001 key for a roof rack? Just picked up an 03 H2 and didn't get keys to roof rack. Anyone willing to make a copy and send it. Would be great. I'm in Las Vegas, NV
