Largest tires without a lift
 

I have a 2006 H2. What are the largest tires I can go without a lift?

ive talked to several tire places about this and they say that a 35X12.5X17 if you have a 17" wheel of course would be a good size without rubbing, but i think you can go bigger. im about to swap over to nitto mud grapplers myself, and i dont think that at stock height there would be any reason to go above a 35. I reccomend the nitto tire because i have had them before on a couple other trucks, and the 555's on a couple camaros i had. best wear ever, and the ride comfortable, have that great sound you want, and just look nasty. but thats my 2 cents take it or leave it.

Thanks for the reply, but isn`t the stock tire convert to a 35" x 12.5 x17?
stock is 315. 70. 17 right?

315 converts to 12.40"
70 is 17.36 " total ( 8.68 per side of side wall )
17 dia. of the rim.

12.40 is how wide
17.36 + 17 = 34.36 " ( overall height )

35" is still a bigger tire for sure , I just kinda thought we could go little bigger lol

How wide is a stock rim? I always was told to go a 12.5" wide tire you should run a 10" wide rim.

i know for a fact you can put 37x12.5 on 20 inch rims without any kind of lift.
only rubbing is on the back of the wheel well, on the plastic.you can trim the plastic to take care of that.
there is no rubbing on sway bars or anything else.

if you go wider to a 13.5 and you have air ride suspension in the back, you will need to relocate the sensor in the back. you will get rubbing in the front as well.

i have read about a guy who only had a 2 inch lift getting 40 inch tires under there.

35x12.5 -17 is stock

I know you can do 37", just turn your T bars a bit

I put 37" Irok 12.5" width under
 

no problems so far, had to push the cable bundle in the left front well behind the frame, since the iroks have a very deep thread.

Hey man, im planing to go with the 37" 13.50-20 and im glad you mentioned about the sensors, my question is this sensor something that we can relocate ourselves or the local tire mounting place knows how to deal with it.... by the way what does this sensor do( dumb question) seriously i didnt now till you mentioned.

Bringing up an old thread but I put 37x13.5x20 on and I I am trying to find a way to keep the fronts from rubbing....I can't pass inspection until I stop the rubbing and put either mud flaps on or fender extenders. My main question is is there anything I can do to keep it from rubbing with out putting spacers on the wheels....if I do that then I for sure need the fenders. I saw someone said something about adjusting a T-bar....what is that? Torsion bar??
