I got stuck in snow heard a couple pops in front end. I know i blew my front pass half shaft. My question is when it’s in 4auto and I put it in Drive. Sounds like a bunch of bolts in a blender but when I put it in 4 x 4, just the rear wheels
turn and no sound.

 

H2 is all time 4x4. In which of the modes you are switching out of (the noisy one) and then into (quiet mode) - 4H, 4H Lock, or 4L lock - is the noise going away?
