Default H2 performance camshafts

Anybody have any info on a performance camshaft for an 03 h2. It has k&n cold air intake, longtube headers with free flowing cars and exhaust and soon a jet performance throttle body. Looking for more power. Thanks

Check Texas Speed or Brian Tooley Racing. If you want to read up on whats out there visit performance trucks and the LS1 board.

I doubt you would ever need a different throttle body, most of the times they cause more trouble than they're worth. You might even consider saving your money on that and switching over to a TBSS intake and throttle body. Its worth 10 to 15 hp they say. I thought about a cam swap too but I have no desire to pull the A/C condenser to do it. With my luck, I'll loose my ac forever.

Make sure you get a good tune now and before the cam, your mods will need it.

I agree with tharber, do some research and then decide what you want out of the upgrade, more low end, more mid-range or more top end or more of everything, then go from there as to what to do. A cam will generally move the power higher in the rpm range causing you to loose low end power but better mid and top end power, you can recover the low end power with a converter but keep in mind it will drive differently than with a stock converter. There are shops that can tailor a cam to what you want but they are not usually off the shelf cams so you'll need to go to a custom cam shop like Straub Technologies.

If you haven't already done so a good tune from a pro tuner will help take full advantage of the upgrades you already have and help tailor the truck to the way you want it to drive.
