Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
Took my H2 adventure off-road this weekend and I am honestly impressed. I’ve been made to believe that the truck is more show than go, not anymore. Only time I got into trouble was due to the side steps which I need for city use since I drive it to work twice a week. Next off-road outing I will just remove it. Also I could have avoided getting stuck if I only just get out of the car and evaluate the obstacle first, there was a better path nearby.
Also I probably would have chicken out a few times if buddy with H3 didn’t keep edging me on. I love my H2 more than ever now. It took a serious beating and I still drove it home over 100 miles on the freeway with music and A/C on. Cleaning it is going to suck though
Sounds great! You need the steps but I hate the steps. I have the amp steps and they are the best thing ever and only there when you need them. They were already on when I purchased it and I probably won’t have spent the money to add them. I think it’s by far the best mod I have on mine. cant wait to see some pics of your 1st time out
Still nice and clean Mt Ranier (volcano) in the background This is extremely high up after some crazy terrain and elevation changes This is where I will camp when the zombie apocalypses start Bone stock and held up well Still on the trail Navigating some easier obstacles Bethels Ridge. This is a milestone archived much faster than I thought possible.
Looks like a great off-road adventure. There have been recent comments about folks always seeing H2 pics in driveways and in parking lots, so I thought I'd share some pics from a trip we took to the Moab, UT area several years ago w/ our first of three H2's ('06 Maroon Adventure series). Enjoy the pics:
H2 needed a bath After that bath it needed a shower Steepest hill we drove down intentionally This is where the Hummer did the best - totally in its element on these rocky trails w/ lots of off-camber On top of a very narrow spine of rock, not much wider than the Hummer Same spot, we were on top of a very high cliff wall The H2 in the great outdoors - all 3 of these pics were taken from the same spot by my friend w/ the KTM dirt bike tagging along- he was quite far away!
