Default Green connector bose stereo

Just adding an after market stereo with a pac rp5 gm11 almost everything wired, I'm not sure what the single green plug that came out of the bose navigation stereo is or where I need to wire it to, best I can see is either something for the chimes or the backseat entertainment ?

Did your stock radio have navigation? It looks like the GPS connector. An aftermarket radio likely has it's own GPS connector that you'll have to stick on the dash somewhere on top of a metal plate

Thanks, new stereo has a GPS antenna.
have you installed the pac before ? I'm set to to Toggle 1,2 3 down as the after market says to use pioneer. But not getting any steering wheel control volumes or chimes it seems.

Yes it had Navigation

First, ensure you have everything spliced correctly using the wiring diagrams that came from PAC and your head unit. Yes, I've installed them before. There is usually a dial that you turn with a tiny screw driver or dip switches, that will tell the PAC box which head unit brand to be programmed for. This must be done with the power off, once you turn it on while set it will hold it in memory even if you change it. If you turned it on while having it set incorrectly you may need to pull the fuse to reset it.

I googled the dial and read something about this being va volune gain but didn't see a difference..

I pressed the blue button until I got all the chimes like 3 or 4 for factory mode I think, i have chimes and on star but no steering wheel volune.etc. sonis there a diagram of what spot to put the dial in, nothing in the pac manual and the dial doesnt show any, im set forb 123 dowb on switches as the head unit says to set to pioneer. Or is there just 4 settings 12 3 6 9 o'clock position, I can try all if needed.

one other question , did you ever experince putting a head unit and the volume was screaming loud, I put in an atoto s8 and it's not power unit I think like 40 w max peak, the speakers are all working in the right spot after checking like FL fr rr rlbwith the unit but on volume 1 it us screaming loud on the radio I turned the master gain down on the atoto to its lowest level 1 of 10 and still its loud, you can maybe get to 3 or 4 clocks of the volume, best i could google was that maybe I need to wire the speakers to the rca cables on the head unit because of them being lower gain ..... but that's google who knows any thoughts ?

I tried the dial by the dip switches it just turns the onstar volume up or down. I tired pressing the button to go into learn mode and pressed the swc each then saved with no luck. The stereo has a spot to learn each button after you press it but that doesn't work.

I wonder if I should hook the steering wheel key from the unit to the SWC wire on the PAC unit?

What I noticed is when I first attach theb3.5 jack and am in the swc learning mode the lettering goes from red to green and you can save onlyb1 function like volume up, but usually doesn't work but once for volume up I hit save exited but the volume stuck going all the way to max and the same for volume down.
