My 2003 H2 makes loud noises in front end but only when it rains. Makes these noises sometimes when stopping or turning. The dealer says it's the body mounts and will need to be replaced to get rid of noise. My questions are why only when it's raining does it make these loud noises and how many hours of labor will it take to replace all the body mounts in front of truck?

 

They should be easily replaced on your own but the problem is the price of each mount plus the number of them. I looked into them a long time ago when mine were popping when I turned and hit bumps then the noise oddly went away *crosses fingers* lol

 

Do you know why I only hear these noises when it's raining?

 

Try lubing them up with some good rubber lube. I like Super Lube. It's great stuff.

 

Thanks Phil. I think the truck has a total of 12 body mounts but do you know how many are in front end of truck?
