Default Fender Lip

Ok we know what killed the cat, so here we go. I have been reading about leveling kits ( which I have on mine) and how they are a waste of money etc.
And reading the past posts I see people saying don't go over 23.3 inches or it will tear this up and that up. Of course, it got me curious as to where mine is. I go and measure to the center of the wheel to the top of the fender and its 27 in, Now If i measure to the front of the fender it's 23.5. I honestly have no idea as to where I am supposed to take this measurement. Even before I put in the leveling kit it was greater than 23.5. So now, of course, I have no idea. Thank you for your help.

Where did you find the "top of the fender", to measure ride height?

I meant fender lip. And since you placed that diagram, which I appreciate, That makes it perfectly clear. I am at 27 1/2" after remeasure So I would need to lower it almost 5 in. It was already above the recommended height when I bought it. Thank You.

Just my two cents, but when I had my H3 I remember that height number but not sure if it's meant for the H2 since it's a bigger vehicle?

I did fender lip when I took before and after measurements when I did my keys and rear lift.

I have a 2006 with the limited edition (painted fender moldings), I am stock with new front shocks and factory air suspension, here are my measurements-

Front - Center of wheel to fender lip - 27" left & right
Rear- Center of wheel to fender lip - 25.5" left & right

The left and right of front if off and not equal can be leveled by torsion bar bolt. If you have unequal values at the four corners (side to side) - start at the torsion bolt (1 turn is approx .2" - 5 full resolutions should be approx 1") Just writing this in case someone else needs the info. When tightening or loosening the torsion bar bolt - do in full half turn rotations & keep up with the amounts on each bolt. That way you always remember your starting point. Some say to jack the vehicle to take load off the bolts before doing to take stress off threads while turning (weight of vehicle on the bolt as you crank). Obviously clean threads prior to any adjusting and lube to make easier...
