Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default Defender Rack

Based on recommendations from Hummer on fumes I purchased the non-hummer Defender rack and went with a larger one. Finished it up to include front LED Bar and perimeter lights. I created my own wire harness running down the rear door channel and through the frame to help keep the integrity of an already leaky body style.

Smittybilt 50705 Defender 5' X 7' Bolt Together Roof Rack

Smittybilt D8085 Defender Series LED Light Bar Bracket

The rack was over $325 less than the H2 one

Booch, thanks for the update, The perimeter lighting is very nice, can you tell me how tall the rack is from the top of the H2 roof rack to the top of the Defender rack?

I have very limited space from the top of my H2 to the garage,

thanks Neal

I wonder about making brackets to mount it directly to the roof rails instead of the factory crossbars... Would bring it down closer to the roof.
