Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default Car ramp caution...

I have a set of steel car ramps I've had for 25 years. Even use them on an F-250 with the 7.3 diesel. Never a problem. I've used them under the H2 a couple times. Yesterday after pulling the H2 up on the ramps, they both collapsed about 2 in. Ordered a set rated for 16,000 lb

Yep..That is scary.. I have some super heavy Duty Jack stands that I use with my 2.5 Ton Jack. Never go under the 2 without jack stands next to my body. I have a set of Race Ramps I use for the 65 Vette. They are rated at 1500 lbs. After I get the Vette up on the ramps I pull out my jack stands and stick them under next to me. Even though the ramps are a solid composite ...I don't trust them.

I've got four 6 ton jack stands I use when I get the whole thing in the air. The kind with the safety pin that slides in. But even with those, when I pulled the transmission to do the rear main, I had large 8 inch by 10 inch blocks of wood stacked under the frame. It's been very tempting to just use the ramps for a quick oil change.... I'm guessing metal fatigue finally set in after 25 years.

Never had an issue with the race ramps. I use them for my 1966 Corvette coupe and my 2024 Z06 coupe.

Me neither.. Very Good product. It's just my Military Training... No Rings or Jewelry on when working on electrical parts and Always use the Jack stands. Saw a few fingers burned off in country working on Truck Mounted Cranes...as well as colahaps of improper Supports. Major Ruel in the Combat Engineers in Nam.
