Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

I've got a China clone Tech 2... Does everything. I also have a Autel Scanner MaxiCOM MX808BT Pro... Mainly for the variety of vehicles the kids have. I was surprised it covers most of the things on the H2 as well. Quite a bit faster than the Tech 2, although I suspect it doesn't have all the functions.

I have the GM version Tech II. Also a Bunch of Accessories. Mine reaches back to 2009. I never checked to see if it went back further..??

What exactly is a China clone Tech 2? I'm guessing it was purchased on Aliexpress or something like that. Is it still called Tech 2? or does it look the same as one but called something else.
I looked into that Autel MaxiCOM, pretty pricey here. Might have to bite the bullet and ask my wife if I can have an early birthday present.

The overseas version I believe is a licence from GM. One of the guys here probably knows more about it than I do. I here and have seen that the Top $ Autel is one of the best. They also make lesser $ ones. From what I have seen, there very good. Here's "SCOTTY" and scanners maybe you can see him use the big $$$ one in action and give some good advice on how much you should spend.

The China clones are exactly that... They reproduce the hardware, looks identical to the authentic Tech 2, and uses the same accessories. The genuine GM memory card plugs right in.

I imagine the quality of what they used inside is probably not as good as what Bosch or vertronics used on the originals, but so far it works flawlessly. Think I paid around $300, came with a GM card, the candi module, and every chord and plug you could possibly need for GM going back to something like 1996.

Thanks for the info. I tried using an older Autel ( AL419 ), it didn't see anything. I'll have to continue shopping.
p.s. love watching "SCOTTY" vids. Simple, to the point and I get a few laughs too.

Ok...it's been awhile but I scanned my H2...here's what I found:

Hvac System- code- B0229
ABS System- code- C0050 Right wheel sensor circuit malfunction
- code- C0550 ECU malfunction

....the wheel sensor, I think I can figure out. It's nice to know that I can start at the right rear and go from there.
The ECU code.....I'm going to have to do some figuring out.......

Save yourself the headache and replace both rears, and then when you replace front hubs (they all need them) you can do the front sensors.

The ECM is likely a corroded ground or something. It might also go away with new sensors.
