Default Any recommendations for catalytic convertor systems?

Read bad things about buying cheap ones on ebay. Afe cat system - does anyone know if the Yukon and Tahoes used the same catalytic converor system as 2005 Hummer? Saw this one for $700. Hummer isnt listed but the guy on phone means that they just never tried it on ome. Any thoughts? Thx everyone!!

I went with the Magnaflow Stainless w/ CARB Cats (Northern VA Emissions) from HOTEXHAUST.com mainly for their 20% and free shipping. Got it fast and if you still have the factory cats to return they pay 75.00 ea and have prepaid fedex labels to send them in. Was just glad they werent sitting around the garage for the wife to complain about... I think it was like 1700ish. But all in all a smooth transaction and sounds DEEP.

Yes, I got all three parts from them The left cat, The right cat, and the cat back. I also got return fedex lables ofr the old cats. which I just put in the boxes the new ones came in and took to Kinkos. Got $150 back.

- 1 × Magnaflow 15770 | Hummer H2 | 6.0L | Dual Side by Side Rear Exit | Stainless Performance Exhaust System $911.00
-1 × Magnaflow 24084 | HUMMER H2 | 6L | Driver Side | Catalytic Converter-Direct Fit | Standard Grade EPA$813.00-1 × Magnaflow 24083 | HUMMER H2 | 6L | Passenger Side | Catalytic Converter-Direct Fit | Standard Grade EPA$819.00
you can use coupon code 2022e80aa993 for 20% off. Hope this helps

I should also say I got
JBA 1850S-3 1-5/8 JBA 1850S-3 1-5/8" Shorty Stainless Steel Exhaust Header for GM Truck/Hummer 6.0L 03-06
from Amazon in Oct 2016. So its all done. If you looking at doing headers, and your a novice, you may thing about having a shop do it. Mainly for the broken studs you will find that you have been driving around with for years. They are a bitch to get out and the access via the fender wells sucks. you have to take the liners out. their is tourch heating and special tools to extract the broken studs and if you have any broken in the block welding nuts on and such. Its not hard, just laborious, and I roll my every time I personally do them. (Only once on my H2).

Fantastic news! Appreciate the detail and part #s. Just ordered couldnt be more stoked! Got the 20% coupon too. This is great. Just saved $500+ bucks!! Thx a mill. Are replacing the headers neccessary? I know mine are rusted. I have never done that b4. Tackled every problem on this H2 over last few months. Roof Racks, lights, charge spark plugs, fix parasitic drain, new u joints. Cant wait to get back on road. This will be first exhaust I will be doing. Did you just cut the cats and send then back? You didnt have to send them the whole fixture? Are there any upgrades you would recomend?

No need to change out the exhaust manifolds for the new cats and exhaust. I did it for a little more performance, when I when I started replacing things. lol. I had to drop the exhaust system when I did the transmission before this transmission. and seemed like a good time to get at the headers I always wanted. eyeroll.... lol

Hey Sturmbringer, what tool or tools did you use to get the 3 bolts removed from the exhaust manifold that connects the cat pipes. Got everything else off so far. Thx man

Hey man, got the new cats and exhaust installed thx again 4 the tips much appreciated. Took me Friday night, on off all day Saturday, and 5 hours Sunday. Had to use a dremel on the stripped bolt on thr exhaust manifold, the a 14 mm socket. Picked up an impact gun to get those bolts out. Wow the H2 sounds alive now. New oxygen sensors, spark plugs, and u joints man this thing is sooooooo smooth. Cheers!
