Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Hello there,

I intend to lift my 2008 H2 with a Rancho 4'' kit that (the dealer says) will keep my air suspension active. Is that good quality material?
Also I want to install a winch in the front. But I don't want it to protrude too much from the car as I have limited parking space. Any model suggestion? I saw photos on the forum of winches completely inserted in the bumper.

Finally does someone have any suggestion for installing an external jerry can at the rear? (besides the spare wheel)

Thanks in advance

Frank

I'd check with summit racing. I'm pretty sure they offer a warn front bumper/winch combination. It replaces your front bumper for a flat black steel one with a built in winch. As for the lift I don't know. Most of the kits I've seen remove the airbags but again, I don't know. There was a thread on this forum of someone that did install a jerry can onto the back hatch. it was probably about 8 months ago. wish I could be more help.

Thanks a lot! I followed your suggestions and have now a better idea of what i can find. I found the thread about the jerry can onto the back hach but apparently it's a home made system. I am not able to do that myself...

I've got the Rancho 4" w/air suspension. Pretty good kit, not too aggressive. Here's what it looks like (hope the pic shows up).

I love the thought of the Rancho 4" and rancho is what I have used in the past so its my preferred brand. However I don't care to hack stuff up for the install as I have read through the install directions.

6" lifts I feel are a little too much for a DD but Bulletproof being fully reversible has me sold. As the same time I think keys, spacers, UCA's would be the way to go for me. Add some height but nothing too crazy.

Thank you InjectedSS. Your pic helps a lot since my H2 is the same color. I just decided to go for it. I have the stock 20' chrome wheels with 325/60R20 tires. Should I replace them?
