Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
Hummer we have has been stuck on defrost and floor board, so I grabbed the actuator and after hours of fighting with 2 tiny bolts I swapped out the part, I now gave air only coming out of the front vents. The bolts seem like they are and the back plate did come out but I think I got it back in ok. I did the re calibrate took the power cable off for 20 minutes then attached and turned the key to run position for a few minutes (the last position before it starts the engine)
So when I look at the actuator I can see that plastic back plate move when i switch from defrost to vents or floor board. What am i missing here, is there a another component or the plastic plate is in the wrong postion. I attached 2 photos showing the bottom pin on the plate and how its moved positions when changing the vent direction. There's not even a little change in air flow.
I have a previous post on the forum about the actuators and the reset, hasnt helped me yet.
thanks ahead for any help
I foundba video but its off a 2003 gm but looks close to my hummer, half way through the video he shows a look in and he has a white attachment to the cam disc on thw top but I don't see that on mine, so I'm not sure what exactly that plastic disc is turning, it's so hard to see.
I got it solved, there are three pins attached the vents and i think only 2 were in and 1 in the wrong slot, i spent an entire day upside down hanging half out the door before i figured out how to get the cam plate in the right spot and pull the top 2 vents into place on the plate, what a nightmare, but after a reset i now have air to all vents,
hopefully never have to do that again.
