Hello all,

Warn claims they designed their winch model 69502 9.5xp specially for the H2. (it's embedded into a special bumper they also provide).
Do you think 9500 lbs towing capacity is enough for an H2? Apparently It's below the minimum towing capacity generally advised of 1.5 X GVW.

I did an Engo 10k. I am guessing it is better than no winch.

 

Your H2 weighs approximately 6000#. The Warn 9500# cradle winch was the winch sold at Hummer dealerships for the H2. A good 9500# winch should be fine.

You can always use a ****** block (pulley) to double the pulling power.

 

The base rule of thumb is 1.5 times the loaded weight of your rig. With a curb weight of 6,614 lbs empty and loaded up for wheeling more like over 7,000 lbs. That would be 7,000 + 3,500 = 10,500 lbs or larger. You can't go wrong going lager on a winch!
