2nd Gen power mirror doesnt open anymore?
Hi H2 Team,
Drivers side mirror will move up down left and right but will not fold open. Passenger side works fine. Was thinking maybe its the drivers side window module. The unlock / lock doesn't work on the module. I know module is bad but mirrors have been fine for past year. Curious, if anyone run into this before. Any thoughts? Thx

What model years are 2nd Gen i.e. what year H2 is yours?
I have lots of data up to 06/07 but not on 08/09.

thx 4 follow up brave I went through your old posts and forum but couldnt find a solution. Its a 2005 with the 06+ mirror with the H2 logo. I had taken off my door trim to sound deadin it. When I released mirror was still closed I put it back on and jump started car. Thats when mirror stopped working. I slightly pushed mirror open.I know the door control module is bad. I was thinking replacing that but wanted to see if any other solutions out. Checked fuse videos but didnt see anything for mirrors. Again thx again.

There's the "DDM FUSE 15A", "PDM FUSE 15A" and feeding these is "LBEC 2 FUSE 50A" but confident these aren't the issue.
Moving the mirror-arm manually shouldn't be a problem, unless there's an issue with the arm mechanism itself, for example it could be jammed or there is a broken/disconnected motor wire.
Jump-starting shouldn't affect the electronics, but one can never say never (could be coincidence)
Pop-out the DDM and check the wiring to the 10-Way BLACK connector C4 Pins 1 (Yellow) and Pin 6 Light Blue) [not to be confused with C3 the [color=#3498db]Blue 10-Way]
If you measure the voltage across pins 1 & 6 whilst performing an "extend" operation you should see a voltage, this will reverse with a "retract" operation. If you measure 12V it's not a DDM issue i.e. its the mirror-arm and/or associated wiring.
The mirror-arm should always "extend" (fold open) but under certain circumstance may not always retract (fold in) for reasons I won't go into here. The circuitry will time-out if a jam is detected i.e. the arm-motor doesn't or can't rotate.
It is possible the DDM's driver chip has failed but if a couple of its output pins have gone bad since the other pins control the mirror-axis movement which are working.
The switches on the DDM form a matrix with all the other buttons, so the problem will be the Unlock/Lock membrane buttons switches, possibly corroded, there is HummerFixes YT videos on cleaning the keypad.

So in order its possibly:-

- Stuck arm motor
- Wiring or connection issue.
- DDM
Update, I first tried putting the driver mirror on passenger side connection but that did not work, just wanted to see if it would start moving. Checked fuses looked good.Next cleaned the connectors in the driver module And tried again. Didn’t work but doors would unlock. I purchased a used module from JJ Autowrecking in Ohio USA. Mirror worked like a charm! The seat module is flashing have read that means the heater pad need changed. Thx again for tips follow up Brave
