Default 2008 Vs 2005 H2 - Worth the upgrade?

Hi friends,

I am thinking about buying a 2008 H2. I currently own and drive daily a 2005 H2. I really like the "spartan" interior and I am not too convinced about the more modern 2008 interior and instrument panel looks.

Anyhow, has anyone else "upgraded" to a 2008? Is it better than the 2005? Any regrets?

Thanks!

Hans

Thank you Tainter,

I am aware of the different specs of the 2008 model but, I was more interested in getting info on the overall feeling of driving the newer model and perhaps some feedback on various, even basic, aspects that make this model better or worse than the 2005 I currently own.

Thanks,

Hans

Don't buy it, if you're unable to test drive, to get the "overall feeling of driving"?

Exactly, that is my problem! I am looking at a 2008 in the U.S. that I would need to buy without test driving it (and ship it to Panama). 60k miles and no known mechanical issues.
If anyone here was to tell me that they have owned an older model like mine and then bought the new one and that they loved it even more, I would definitely go for it.
BTW, I would still keep mine and oblige my wife to drive it (after 2 years she still hasn't admitted she likes my H2 but I think it is growing on her ;-)
