Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

@Mark R Thanks! I know most H2 owners upgrade their factory radio to a new CarPlay or Android system... but I am trying to keep this H2 as stock and unmolested as possible. Next step... I need to route the the backup camera video to the nav system AND keep the video mirror working... that is on another thread...

Great Job, I would love to dump the Alpine aftermarket setup the previous owner put in my 08 H2 but need a good source for a new replacement GM unit, I also know its tricky getting the right unit especially for the SUT.

After reading some of the horror stories of cracking the dash topper or breaking the AC vents removing the center radio trim bezel I figure I will wait until the existing unit dies and I am forced to deal with it.

Fantastic write up, were you able to get an updated GM Nav disk? Lots have changed since 09.

From what I understand there were 3 issues of the Nav disc from GM. The last was in 09.

Oh boy... one more item to add to the to-do list... so I went over an popped out the disc... it is v9.0c from 2013... but that is a limitation of the Navigation system... maps get frozen in time.

Yeah.. Your right it was 2013 was the last one. I still use it in my NAV Radio. It works.. Sometimes it won't find the address, it's way outdated. I have a Garmin unit in the Corvette that I use that really works great. Whish Garmin would make a unit that drops into the HUMMER H2..That would be sweet.
