2008 H2 gear upgrade, 3.73 to 4.56
I've decided that the next upgrade for my H2 will be a set of 4.56 gears, most here know that I just finished the engine rebuild with upgraded cam, converter, full 3" exhaust and tune to get it all working together, I'm still dialing in the fuel and air tables but for the most part its close. The H2 runs very strong for a heavy square brick but its time to address the gears and give it some extra grunt off the line. My H2 is lifted 2" and has true 37" tires so the gears should get it to above where it was stock.
I gave Ron's Machining Service a call and talked with him on my options and which gears he would suggest for the H2. He recommended the Elite Gears with the master rebuild kit and I then upgraded to the Timken bearings.
I just returned to work after shoulder surgery so the install will be put off for a little bit.
4.56 gear sets and master rebuild kits for both front and back.
