Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default 2008/2009 green wear on dash buttons?

I have noticed green marks, looks like this is wear from clicking air condition buttons across 08 H2. Is this normal? Saw sticker cover on eBay, is that the normal fix? Thanks!

it’s just paint falling off, normal, replacement is about $200 new piece, easy to install or buy stickers for cheap fix, but light is hidden at night time

Yep.... the GM trucks and SUV's for the same years use the exact same buttons. Stickers on eBay or Amazon are cheap or actual replacement buttons which are a good bit more as mentioned.

What you are seeing is a common problem across all the GM trucks from like 08 to 14 that use a similar version of the climate control system. The label actually gets worn off. This is such a bad problem that vendors do sell replacement plastic labels to stick back on your climate control system. Just search for GM Climate Control Button Repair. Here is a YouTube video from one of the manufacturers.

Since the Hummer climate control module is no longer available (part number 20777074) ... I am curious if we can buy a Chevy version, which are available, and take the buttons from it and add to the Hummer climate control system? Has anyone tried that? Would seem to be a better option than adding stickers.

The stickers are actually decent. I've had them on my truck for over a year and they still look excellent.
