2006 H2 bad transmission. Buy for?

I know a guy selling a 2006 H2. Great guy. The transmission is gone. 151,000 miles. I offered $8,800 considering it has to be towed and fixed. Is that a fair offer?

Very hood shapr

He has taken very good care of it.. it previously had a minor electrical issue..

Just my opinion if you can get it for that you scored a great deal. Prices are all over the place but one in good running condition retails for what, ~16k?

I gave him a few days. I will probably buy a fully functional one. Thanks for the help.
