Hey yal...so it looks like the underhood fusebox is different for the '08. I really want to get the DRL to turn on simulataneously when the headlights are on. Can't really find the relay for the DRL... The following pictures are taken from The Ledge from elcovaforums.com. I know that the prk lamp relay should be hooked up to either hdlp lo realy or the drl fuse. Just can't figure out which numbers to hook up. I've tried using a 20gauge wire with a 200v diode in between. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i don't know where your drlrelay is, but find the switched lead on the park lamp relay and run the diode from that to the drl relay, with power flowing from the park lamp relay to the drl relay. however, i don't see a drl relay, so you may be sol. is there another fuse box somewhere on the '08?

 

My GUESS would be PRK LAMP to (26)DRL with the diode FACING the DRL??

bob, [26] is just the fuse, not the relay. i'm not sure running power from the park lamp relay to the fuse would do any good.you need to find the drl relay so you can energize it from the park lamp relay. otherwise you're just wizzin' in the wind . . . . .

 

thanks yal for the replies... I've tried hookin' the parkin' relay to the drl fuse. The drl turns on, but never turns off even with the engine off and the truck locked. I'll keep trying...

 

you need to find the drl relay. once you find that, you can make it work. sounds like you connected the drl fuse to a permanent hot lead on the park lamp relay - it's always got power on one leg but needs the feed from the switch to activate it. still, i don't know that it's a good idea to run any lead to the fuse to provide power, you're bypassing the fuse that way. that's been known to cause fires - not good . . . .[]
