Default 05 H2 - won't start

Hello all, quick question, H2 won't start, it cranks for a second then shuts off. Checked battery, all good. Checked the pressure in the fuel line near the injectors and nothing, not a drop. Had a new fuel pump installed 5 months ago. Anything I should check in between the fuel pump and the engine? Possibly fuel pump went out again? Any thoughts or recommendations? Truck was firing up just fine a few days ago, had not been driven either. Just out of nowhere it stopped. Thanks.

try swapping the f/pmp relay with the horn relay first test the horn to see if it works then swap see if horn still works or not and if the truck starts. also check for corrosion on the relays and fuses

Did you check your starter and/or it's connectors for corrosion? Mine recently crapped out

Does it crank and not start or crank and then quit cranking?

well its brand new as well, had that installed same time as the fuel pump, but I'll check it just in case.

on another note, I just noticed the battery levels droppedal by a lot. It's below 10. Hmm, off to auto zone to get it checked.

Engine starts for a second and shuts off completely. It could be battery now that I checked this morning, it's reading 9.9V, maybe the alternator went out and I drained the battery. I wish I knew more about mechanical/car stuff lol

Ugh, problem fixed, had to recharge the battery. Something apparently is draining it as its very new. Will need to do some detective work and find the source of this. This is an old beast with a ton of miles on her. Thanks for the tips though.

I also have a 2005 H2 with a slowly draining battery. Battery is brand new two months ago. I've made sure that all extra accessories are unplugged, verified the car is actually turning off when I remove the key, etc. I recently took the fuse out of the OnStar that I'll never use, but that didn't seem to help either. I'd be curious to hear what you find. Right now, I have a solar panel on the roof plugged in to the car to keep the battery from draining. Temp solution.

do you have an aftermarket radio or alarm? might be your issue.

Pull the fuse to the blower motor and see if the drain goes away, that ended up being my issue. The resistor and/or motor can go bad and cause a parasitic drain. I dealt with the issue for like a week before we finally figured it out by finally testing every fuse 1 by 1 with a multimeter or pulling them.
