I am about to change my knock sensors. Any other recommendations or tips? I got the intake gasket, 2 knock sensors, and the wire harness all AC delco. I am trying not to spend the money if i don't need to bet definitely want to replace any other significant components while i am in there.

Do not over tighten the knock sensors. Also, your current knock sensors sit in the bottom of the valley pan and have rubber grommets the knock sensors screw into. These old grommets are not easy to replace, you will most likely have to remove the valley pan to get the old hardened ones out. So if you're not replacing the valley pan, be sure and get a new gasket for it.

i purchased the following here:

I'm not sure if AC Delco has those, and I wouldn't be to concerned on the gaskets, only because newer rubber gaskets are made with much better compounds than they were 16 years ago. Just like the intake gaskets, hopefully you bought the heavy duty aftermarket intake gaskets vs the thin GM ones. If not you may want to get the fel-pro heavy duty.

There are threads on updating those intake gaskets.

Default Intake manifold question

What is this connector called. I can’t seem to find one to replace it. It’s on the front of the intake manifold right behind the throttle body on the right side of the motor

GM 12582227 this is the hose, part of the emissions system
The fitting on the end, you may need to see the dealer for that one,
looks like its part of the intake, I don't have an 05 intake to look at so not sure, can you remove it form the intake?

Thats not a replaceable part.... its part of the intake manifold itself. As shown right next to the throttle body opening. Might be able to JB Weld it or something or replace the intake manifold.
