Default 05 h2 4wd shift encoder motor

I recently attained a 2005 hummer H2 and the 4 wheel drive's not working there is no shifting coder motor attached to the transfer case and I don't understand why. Why is there no shift motor on this transfer case??

It appears to be the right transfer case, but where the shift encoder motor or actuator attaches to the case is sealed, like where the 3 bolts go, there no holes and it's as if the transfer case cover is different. Would there be any reason for this truck to not have the shifter encoder motor attached to the transfer case?? Or do they all have them on the case for the 4wd system? I'll get a pic to show what I'm seeing

In those pictures above is my issue. As you can see there's no shift encoder motor on the trans case and no access for one...what could be the reason?? It's supposed to have a shift motor there right?

And if that's the case, my 4wd system won't operate correct?
