Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default !*!*! Fuel !*!*!

I’m stuck in a discussion about the fuel choice.
2008 H2 only 75K miles, upgraded everything you can imagine under the hood by the first owner.

E85, 87, 91, 93 or hydrogen?

There is an E85 Station 40 Miles from me. The only one. If I could I'd be using E85. Why..?? Well I watched an episode of "Engine Masters" With Frieburger and Dulchase ..Probably spelled their names wrong. Anyway ..They tested all the fuels on a SB Motor for HP and Torque ..E-85 Rocked. I'd be running it if I could also in my 65 Vette with a 502 MSD injected. The station is just to far for me to go. It seems to be the cats meow. See if you can find that episode on Motor Trend TV or on Youtube.
Also I have an 09 Flexfule... so no worries about the Alcohol Farking things up. As long as your gas cap is yellow in color ..your good to go. Other then that..93 octane is what your motor wants. The puter will change the advance and you will lose some power it you drop down to 91- or-87... it'll get slower.

My 08 does not like 87. A few times I've had a brain fart at the pump and filled it up with 87, and like Hank Hill says "I guess I'll be knockin and pinging my way through this tank". It sometimes cranks more to start, and sometimes it will surge when creeping at low speeds. Give it 91, and purrs like a kitten.

Go with the 93...

The 03-07 run fine on 87 octane.

I remember the 08-09 specify higher octane? 91 I believe. Different engine setup.

If yours is modded, you need to find out what octane the mods were designed for, by contacting the parts mfg, or googling it. Then start experimenting wih 91 and higher.

And pay thru the nose 🤑

Yep 6.2 Likey 93 octane....I guess it would run ok on 91... but I like feeding the 93. My Fatboy can pull 18-19 MPG at 55 MPH on long trips. But if I go 65 MPH I drop to 16-17 MPH. Tried it with 91 but was lower MPG. But each rig is different.....time of year altitude temperature Etc.

You must be driving under the influence? or maybe downhill with the wind at your back.

If this is true than that would be awesome but you know Official truth is not actual truth.

I’ve heard of ppl that swapped the gas engine for a Duramax/allison and got around the 15miles on the gallon.
Even if you upgraded a bunch of parts from the engine like myself it still clocks you at 11/12 maybe on the freeway.
Myself really don’t care where the H2 is, it’s just an awesome vehicle to drive around in my spare fun time and that ain’t that much.

But Sargent ..It's true. The trip to my dealer is 70 miles one way down Rt 40 in NJ a long cruise with out many stops. Speed limit 50 Max Once I'm rolling I keep pushing the "How Much MPG button am I getting" every so often. It'll start out low and in cruise mode depending on the day and I can get what I be saying.

Doesn't happen too be that exact number all the time, but close to it. Please don't give me an Article 15! I be Not Lying to my Sargent.

Around town I am hated as I am the poster boy for 10 to 12 MPG. How about if I put 50 PSI in My Tires? Will that help?
