PMD resistors for H1 turbo diesel

PMD resistors for H1 turbo diesel
Recently had to replace my factory installed PMD and standard #5 resistor. There are higher resistors #7 and #9 being sold that I aware of. Should I install one and what is the advantage and disadvantage of picking a higher resistor over the factory #5 resistor?
