I have a 97-1/2 H1 TD too.
Mine was garaged most of it's life. It only has 30,00 actual miles on the odemeter. Now I only use it for surf fishing on Amelia Island , FL where i live.
I may be going back to CA next month for a one year job in SF. Am thinking of driving the HI back to it's home. My wife hates it and wants it out of the garage if I go back to work!!

I have a 97,yellow with 80k. New motor installed under warranty @ 60k. I drove it home 10 hrs with no problems. Really pumped!!!
