It hurt watching them drag that H1 along on the ground.

 

we had all the parts to fix it the halfshaft and the balljoint/geared hub issues, but the steering box was toast (it was again ripped off the framerail). It was a pretty gnarly angle the truck was on so it definately wasn't safe to fix it where it broke. I thought we were dragging it to a safe place to fix then we just kept going to the bottom of the trail (about 100 yrds). An expensive day for Troy.

 

Seems like he said he got it fixed for a lot less than he thought it would cost. I want to say $1500.00 is what I remember.

I have a 1997 2 door H-1 with the 6.5 non turbo. Had it now about 4 years. 48,000 miles on it, jet black with a custom tool box in the area between the rear window and the fender wells to fill in where the back seat would be on a 4 door. Super swampers (standard size 12.50x37x16.5) no monster tires, real wheel covers, winch, underbody cage, nerf bars, nothing really fancy but it is a deer hunting machine.

nice sounding ride 2door, but im sure it looks even better than it sounds, so pics would be greatwould be interesting to see the toolbox you talked about, good idea/use of space!
