Hummer H1 The original Hummer, which brought the Hummer look to the public eye during Desert Storm, with the addition of some features that make the H1 more of a street vehicle and less of a Army truck

Sam runs a company that trains people how to drive Hummers, puts on Hummer Happenings for dealerships and is a director for The Hummer Club, Inc. He is also a very good guy. Sam will steer you to the best place to go. You do have the one piece wheels on your truck.

Those are one piece wheels. They are the 16.5" wheels which are fine but the tire selection is getting pretty thin for 16.5" wheels. If you are going to buy a new set of wheelsyou should probably go to a 17" wheel. You will have a much better selection of tires for your truck and of you ever need a replacement on an emergency or short term basis you are more likely to find them.

Yes, I was thinking along those lines too. I am in the process of getting:

A set of 5 - 18x9.5 Cepek Wheels w/ hidden CTI, lugs and fittingsA set of 5 - Toyo Open Country MT 37/13.50R-18 with mounting and balancingand I am checking into the Road-Force Balance thing. I will be putting the factory rims with the Radial IROKs in the classifieds here and elsewhere for anyone who is interested in them when I get the new rims and tires put on. That information is as follows:A set of 4 - 16.5x8.5 factory (AMG?) Wheels w/ hidden CTI and lugs (I have pictures)A set of 4 - Super Swamper Radial IROK 37/12.50R-16.5LT (NEW) mounted and balanced on the above mentioned rims (I will have pictures, probibly by monday or tuesday of next week when the work is done.)Thanks for your help.

Sam said the Franks does H1s, big rigs, etc and is far cheaper than the dealers. He also said there was a guy named Dave Hinnett in Oklahoma City and that if you will call him he will give you that number also.

1997 H1. New to the site. I have to say, thanks for all the great info here! You guys have helped out many times just by searching so I figure it's time to return the favor if I can.

Keep up the good work.
