Default help?

Well this is probably a long shot, but I am having a very strange problem. I have a 97 H1 wagon with 6.5TD. It runs fine as long is it is on the AUX fuel tank. It will run fine in park on the MAIN fuel tank. However, if I shift into drive while on MAIN fuel tank, or switch the tank from AUX to MAIN while driving, it blows fuse D2 which is: TCM/PCM Battery/Fuel Lift Pump and kills the engine. It will also blow the fuse if I try starting it while on the MAIN tank.

The lift pump is new, and like I said, it runs fine on AUX tank, so ECU is fine too. What else is involved here?

Thanks. Tony.

I am pretty certain I have a short somewhere in between the switch and the fuel selector. With fuel selector and fuel selector switch unplugged, I have 0 Ohms to ground on the red wire of the fuel selection switch plug. According to the schematic, this wire runs only from the switch to the selector. Having a bit of trouble tracing the path of this wire though.
