Looking to buy H1 … any suggestions on what to look for when buying H1?

I live in Houston and always wanted to own the original Hummer … any tips would be appreciated

Also is there a mechanic you recommend in Houston area (south side) that I take a used H1 to show to get their opinion before buying?

 

Mod Mafia is in the Houston area. They do lots of H1 work. Hard to say what to look for. First off what is your budget?

 

$50k range

 

Don’t want to do too much work once I get it … have seen some that ha e interior unfinished (original I guess) that are listed around 50k

 

In your price range you are looking at the 92-93 models, maybe get into a 94/95. Gas models are typically cheaper than diesel. Open tops are cheaper than HMC4 or wagon models. If you can get into the 94/95 models you get a 4 speed transmission instead of the 3 speed and a 6.5 NA instead of the 6.2 NA engine.
